Event: Marine mammals around the world
This week I want to focus on humpbacks in other areas. My friend from New York found a humpback whale in New York while on a boat. In addition, my step uncle and his son went to Antarctica and saw humpbacks there. I showed the photos to Olga and Debbie, and they thought they were pretty cool. Below are the humpbacks from my uncle's trip in Antarctica. I think it is super cool how humpbacks and other marine mammals can inhabit many different locations. I am not used to seeing marine mammals, and so, whenever someone sees them, I get excited. He also saw Southern elephant seals, orcas, and penguins which I thought was really cool to see. I wonder if the orcas feed on penguins or if that is not a prey species for them.

Since we have Thanksgiving off, I won't be posting a blog for next week.
